Position Summary

The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. We have now begun to work to meet the needs of families experiencing other behavioral health challenges. As part of a University Center of Excellence, we subscribe to an individual and family centered approach in all of our work.

This part-time (.75fte) Health Education Consultant, with preference for a family member of an individual with ASD, will continue to support the dissemination of specialized information and resources as well as advocacy that is driven by the needs of individuals with ASD and other mental health diagnoses in NM. In addition, the successful candidate will have a unique role in the implementation of training and support for certified family peer support workers across the state in order to ensure that community-based advocacy and supports are available in New Mexico. Occasional travel is required with this position.
