Job Description
Summary: The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is a leading university dedicated to promoting health worldwide through advanced biomedical research and education. They are seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate multidisciplinary clinics and patient registries, supporting patient navigation, program development, and quality improvement in clinical research settings.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate two multidisciplinary clinics and patient registries
- Support clinic staff with patient navigation, program development, and quality improvement
- Focus on the Adult CF Program, including patient relationships, scheduling, report generation, and data entry into the CF Foundation Registry
- Attend training covering treatments, clinic care episodes, and sample testing, including attendance at the North American CF Conference
- Support the Bronchiectasis/NTM Program (INTEGRATE), including patient coordination, clinical studies, consenting, data entry/analysis, report preparation, and team meetings
Required Qualifications:
- HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills; excellent organizational skills; and excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Windows, and Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment; project management and coordination skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines on concurrent projects
- Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with patients, co-workers, & physicians
Preferred Qualifications:
- College graduate with sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities
- Demonstrated proficiency with medical terminology
- Experience working with patients or study subjects
- Ability to abstract data from medical records and transfer it to data collection forms or directly into databases
- Proficiency with RedCap or similar research databases
