Job Description
Summary: Universal Music Group is the world’s leading music company, committed to artistry, innovation, and entrepreneurship. They are seeking interns for their 2026 Summer Internship Program in Ecommerce, Merchandise, and Retail, which will involve assisting with various tasks in finance, licensing, and merchandising.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all invoices and credit memos
- Assist the credit department with all paperwork needed for collection of past due invoices or charge back from invoices
- Responsible for onboarding vendors and coding invoices
- Assist in supporting team month end close
- Looking for candidates to assist with
- Sales invoicing
- Accounts payable
- Provide support to the finance/accounting team as needed
- Drafting deal write-up summaries and chasing deal approvals via email
- Updating and monitoring deal tracking logs on Monday.com
- Developing presentation decks, one sheets, and other sales tools
- Implementing new systems & guidelines for creative/product development
- Assisting in miscellaneous office projects, i.e. merch giveaways, shipping samples, organizing storage closets, etc
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college/university in the United States, pursuing an undergraduate, graduate and/or law degree
- Graduating between Spring 2026 - Fall 2028
- Have access to housing and transportation within the designated city (We do not offer housing or transportation accommodations)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future (e.g., H1-B, OPT, etc.)
- Commit to 20 - 40 hours per week (based on individual business area)
- Interest in finance and accounting
- Motivated to meet deadlines
- Background in a client-facing role or working with external partners
- Quickly learn new software systems & provide guidance to other team members how to use those platforms
- Familiarity reading through contract agreements and legal documents
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and efficiency
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- High level of integrity
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company
- A 'can-do' attitude
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Self-starter
- Excellent communication skills
- Eager to learn
