Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Production Supervisor / Leader with robust
technical and people management expertise to oversee our high-precision machining
operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that production targets are met, maintaining quality
standards, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. The ideal candidate
will have a strong background in precision machining, excellent leadership abilities, and a
commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Leadership:
o

Lead and manage a team of machinists and operators, ensuring efficient workflow
and adherence to safety protocols.
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their skills
and performance.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to
improve team effectiveness.

Production Management:
o

o
Oversee daily production activities, ensuring that machining processes are carried
out efficiently and according to specifications.
Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to address any
deviations from targets or quality standards.
Coordinate with other shifts and departments to ensure seamless operations and
communication.

Technical Expertise:
o
o
o
Strong understanding of high-precision machining processes, Work & Tool
Setting & Various Inspection methodologies.
Maintain and optimize machine performance through regular maintenance and
calibration.
Ensure adherence to technical documentation and machining blueprints.

Quality Control:

Implement and uphold quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet
or exceed industry standards.
o

Conduct regular inspections and audits of machining processes and outputs.
Address and resolve any quality concerns promptly and effectively.

Safety & Compliance:
o

o
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a
safe working environment.
Conduct safety training sessions and enforce the use of personal protective
equipment (PPE).
Investigate and report on any safety incidents or near-misses.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to
enhance productivity and efficiency.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement through team engagement and
problem-solving initiatives.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

Diploma, NTTF or GTTC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical
certification.
o
Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in high-precision machining, with at least
2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
People Management Skills:
o
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of production
personnel.
o
o
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Other Requirements:

Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing production
challenges.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
