Job Description
Summary: Unilever is a company focused on creating a sustainable future, and they are seeking a Process Engineer to lead change in their manufacturing processes. The role involves utilizing Continuous Improvement methods to eliminate factory losses and enhance production efficiency while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting capabilities with process and packing equipment
- Responsible for the improvement of waste and performance metrics for assigned production lines
- Increase stability of the production line to support our vision from traditional line teams to a semi-autonomous team
- Prioritize projects through data stratification of factory downtime and waste data
- Identify growth and savings opportunities within the factory and develop business cases around them
- Manage small projects from ideation through implementation
- Work closely with operators and maintenance team during continuous improvement activities and act as the technical trainer when needed
- Provide coaching in phenomena identification, root cause analysis, and the establishment of countermeasures
- Any other responsibilities as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of hands-on engineering experience within a production facility
- BS in an engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial)
- Experience executing projects using Continuous Improvement methodology (TPM / WCM / Kaizen / Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma Certification
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits
- Familiar with controls and automation with Rockwell PLCs
- Union factory experience
