Job Purpose
This role exists to ensure the successful execution of site capital investments, from initial evaluation and approval through implementation and project closure, while fully complying with Unilever policies, standards, and safety requirements.
You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, safety, and value creation, leading engineering projects that enable the site to deliver high performance, reliability, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end execution of CAPEX projects at site level, ensuring delivery on scope, cost, timeline, and safety.
Ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) standards and lead construction safety.
Apply Unilever Manufacturing System (UMS), especially EEM and EPM pillars.
Plan and execute annual capital projects with budget control and OTIF delivery.
Manage budgets, purchase requests, technical specs, and supplier coordination.
Lead construction management, contractor supervision, permits, and risk assessments.
Ensure effective change management across projects.
Coordinate with local, regional, and global technical teams.
Participate in engineering design, technical evaluations, and commissioning.
Align with production and planning teams for shutdowns and installations.
Maintain accurate project tracking, reporting, and documentation.
Support manufacturing in resolving equipment issues.
Participate in governance processes (CAPEX approvals, closures, write-offs).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Proven experience leading engineering/CAPEX projects in manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of budget management and project governance.
Understanding of Mexican safety regulations (NOM-STPS).
Advanced English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Project Management, TPM / WCM / UMS.
Background in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of Power BI, MS Project, CAD, and financial analysis.
