Job Title: Spanish and Marshallese Interpreter (As Needed)

Position Summary:
Unified Therapy Services is seeking a Spanish and Marshallese interpreter to provide occasional interpretation services for patients and families in our outpatient therapy clinic. The interpreter will facilitate effective communication between therapy staff and families to support patient care and understanding.

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation during patient evaluations, therapy goal updates, and other meetings as needed.
• Assist therapists in communicating treatment plans, goals, recommendations, and home exercise programs to families.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and family information.
• Provide accurate, culturally sensitive interpretation to support effective communication and patient-centered care.

Schedule: As needed, with hours varying based on patient and clinic needs.

Job Requirements:

• Fluency in speaking and understanding Spanish and/or Marshallese, with the ability to accurately translate written information into the respective language.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret accurately between patients, families, and therapy staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when working with patients and families.
• Ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive and respectful manner.
• Medical or healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• Previous interpreting or translation experience is a plus.
