Summary: Understood.org is a nonprofit focused on shaping the world for difference by raising awareness of the challenges and strengths of people who learn and think differently. The Direct Response Fundraising Intern will support the Advancement team in donor outreach, stewardship, and digital fundraising while gaining hands-on experience in the field. Responsibilities: - Support the Advancement team in donor outreach, stewardship, and digital fundraising - Support cross-functional projects and contribute to team goals throughout the summer - Assist with donor outreach and stewardship, fundraising campaign support, prospect identification, and CRM data management - Collaborate cross-functionally to share learnings and insights - Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming/problem-solving discussions Required Qualifications: - Strong skills in writing, research, organization, and basic data analysis - Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), and an interest in learning CRM and fundraising platforms such as Virtuous and Funraise - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities - Genuine interest in nonprofit work, fundraising, and supporting individuals with learning and thinking differences Preferred Qualifications: - Interest in storytelling, campaign strategy, or digital fundraising Required Skills: Basic data analysis, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, Fundraising platforms, Research, Manage multiple priorities
