Summary: UltraViolet Cyber is a leading platform-enabled unified security operations company providing comprehensive security solutions. The Associate Security Consultant will engage with clients to apply secure software development methodologies, perform software penetration testing, and collaborate with a talented team to deliver project outcomes. Responsibilities: - Consult with UltraViolet Cyber customers on varied engagements - Software Penetration Testing - Source Code Analysis - Threat Modeling - Secure Software Design and Architecture - Network Security Testing - Develop detailed reports on software analysis, penetration testing, and vulnerability findings - Participate in UltraViolet's extensive training program to prepare skills for consulting on customer projects - Collaborate with a talented team of cyber security practitioners - Shadow Senior and Principal Consultants on the job to learn best practices, TTPs, and application security deliverables - Partner with project leaders to deliver on customer timelines and schedules Required Qualifications: - US Citizenship is required - Familiarity with software security weaknesses, attacks and exploitation techniques - Ability to interface with clients, utilizing consulting and negotiating skills - Ability to undertake and complete tasks independently, meet schedules and delivery timelines, and to move swiftly from concepts and theory to action - Ability to collaborate with project team members, take direction from the project lead and execute tasks consistently - Written communication skills for use in preparing formal documentation - Verbal skills that include the ability to clearly articulate thoughts and to deliver presentations - Ability to persuade - Enthusiasm and commitment along with professional interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial drive - Willingness to travel up to 20% Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with secure code review a plus - Familiarity with at least one software programming language and framework a plus - Experience performing web application penetration testing a plus - Experience with .NET, Java, multiple operating systems and RDBMS - Experience with other languages (e.g. JavaScript, Python, Ruby, PHP, Perl, COBOL, SQL, or Assembly) (Desired) Required Skills: Software Penetration Testing, Source Code Analysis, Threat Modeling, Secure Software Design, Network Security Testing Important Skills: .NET, Java, Web Application Testing, Secure Code Review Nice-to-Have Skills: Consulting Skills Benefits: 401(k), including an employer match of 100% of the first 3% contributed and 50% of the next 2% contributed, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (available on the 1st day of the month following your first day of employment), Group Term Life, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Life, Hospital Indemnity, Accident, and/or Critical Illness, Participation in the Discretionary Time Off (DTO) Program, 11 Paid Holidays Annually
