Intern at UL Solutions in Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China

Drive and sustain data-driven validation of laboratory technical qualifications and competency records while supporting the maintenance of digital systems and document platforms to ensure data integrity, traceability, and effective version control.

• Support the establishment and maintenance of technical qualifications and related competency / training records for Laboratory Operations through a data-driven validation.
• Assist technical excellence team to update and maintain digital systems, databases, or document management platforms to ensure version control, data integrity, and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to digitize technical competency qualification data, converting document based and manual records into structured, electronic, and data driven formats to improve data accuracy, accessibility, and long-term usability.
• Participate in the end-to-end solution lifecycle, including requirements research, solution design, system configuration/build, and comprehensive testing, ensuring digital solutions meet laboratory and business needs.
• Streamline documentations that facilitate testing data analytics and sample process.
• Integrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
• Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate in science or engineering, or a related field.
• Understanding of data accuracy, system consistency, and process logic.
• Detail-oriented, with experience in data analysis and reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to learn proprietary software; experience with database and data analytics is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills (English, Mandarin, and Cantonese).
• Good project management skill
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment (both face-to-face and virtual).
