Summary: UL Solutions is a global leader in applied safety science, seeking a Summer AI Engineer Intern with a strong interest in Agentic AI systems and intelligent automation. In this role, you will work with experienced AI and software engineers to prototype, build, and evaluate agent-based AI solutions that support complex workflows across enterprise software platforms. Responsibilities: - Design and prototype agentic AI workflows using large language models (LLMs) - Work with structured and unstructured data to support AI-driven decision-making - Experiment with frameworks and patterns for agent orchestration, memory, and context management - Evaluate model outputs using quantitative and qualitative metrics - Document experiments, design decisions, and findings - Participate in agile development processes, standups, and code reviews Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field - Strong programming skills in Python - Foundational knowledge of: Machine learning and AI concepts, Data structures and algorithms, Software engineering fundamentals - Familiarity with large language models (e.g., GPT-style models) and prompt-based systems - Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity about emerging AI technologies - Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate in a team environment Required Skills: Python, Machine learning, Artificial intelligence, Data structures, Algorithms, Software engineering fundamentals, Large language models, Prompt engineering
