The Workflow Functional Area is responsible for the management and monitoring of all outdoor work through the full work order lifecycle from planning to closure. This includes overseeing the initiation, dispatch and progression of work orders, processing of service requests, allocating adequate resources, identification of bundling opportunities, identification of work pre-requisites, creation of work orders to be progressed and dispatched to the field, the management of the logistics and stores to enable effective and efficient inventory control, Outage notification & processing and complaint resolution.

The Role:
The Asset Operations function forms the cornerstone of service delivery to customers, protecting the environment and meeting regulatory standards as well as managing the majority of operational expenditure. The Asset Operations function has responsibility for operational and maintenance strategy, policies, planning and standard operating procedures for Water and Wastewater operations both nationally and regionally, ensuring that value for money and customer service is delivered.

Reporting to the Network Operations Technical Lead, the Network Operations Governance Analyst will be responsible for carrying out transactional activities and data analysis relating to governance across Uisce Éireann networks. The role will require close liaison with colleagues in Asset Operations, Customer Operations and Assets Programmes to ensure effective end to end service delivery.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute all Workflow governance activities relating to the management of planned/unplanned outage notifications from Local Authorities/Uisce Éireann Capital Programmes ensuring timely contact is made with Vulnerable/Priority Services Customers for both “in hours” and “out of hours” activities
- Carry out analysis of “No Water” calls and monitor compliance against pre-defined regulatory requirements
- Execute Workflow activities relating to the contacting of Vulnerable and Priority Services customers in situations where Boil Water Notices / Water Restrictions are applied and lifted
- Quality check and process all incoming Outage Portal notifications, identify impacted premises and collate data for onward transfer to the Customer Ops and Data Teams
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders and business partners to ensure that relevant customers are identified, information on network operations is shared with the relevant groups, and regulatory requirements are met
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and coordinate progression of the required enhancement initiatives
- Raise risks and issues, as appropriate, to the Network Operations Technical Lead
- Understand and contribute to achieving the objectives and targets of the Workflow function and overall departmental business plans.
- Take part in the on-call rota for the wider Workflow team, if required
- Contribute to achieving the objectives and targets of the Workflow function and overall Asset Operations business plans
- Perform other such duties as required
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business, including but not limited to; Customer Regulation & Compliance, Customer & Economic Regulation, Workflow Reporting, Asset Operations, Customer Operation & Human Resources.
- Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
- Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
- Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information, and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and or relevant experience
- Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable
- Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
- We work better together- Experience managing a team, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally
- Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate information to others
