Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee all manufacturing plant operations, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores Management. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective FMCG production while maintaining high-quality standards and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, and hands-on experience in running end-to-end plant operations.

Key Responsibility:

• Manage end-to-end plant operations including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores.

• Ensure effective and efficient management of labour, productivity, quality control, and safety across all plant functions.

• Enhance existing procedures, systems, and principles to improve information flow, business processes, and management reporting.

• Identify and implement opportunities to upgrade systems and operational efficiency.

• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in line with company policies and statutory requirements.

• Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule to ensure timely delivery of products.

• Prepare and control operations budgets while ensuring delivery within agreed cost, quality, and timeline.

• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality standards, and act as the company representative for regulatory matters.

• Implement and sustain best-practice manufacturing strategies, policies, processes, and SOPs to improve business performance.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and optimize resource utilization.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth plant operations and resolve operational issues proactively.

• Lead, mentor, and develop plant teams to build a culture of accountability, efficiency, and safety.

• Ensure preventive maintenance and breakdown management systems are effectively implemented for uninterrupted operations.

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of FMCG plant operations
• Expertise in production planning, quality management & maintenance coordination
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, 5S, Kaizen, and other manufacturing best practices
• Knowledge of statutory, safety, and environmental compliance
• Leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional team management

Qualification

• MBA / PGDM in Operations (preferred)
