Job Description
Summary: UChicago Medicine is seeking a Student Intern for their Supply Chain Department to provide valuable exposure to various areas within Supply Chain. The internship will involve assisting with projects in Performance & Analytics, Operations & Logistics, and Strategic Sourcing while contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Working primary project within a specific functional area of supply chain, including Performance & Analytics, Operations & Logistics, and Strategic Sourcing
- Assists supply chain management with various special projects, reports, communications, analyses, processes, participate in group meetings, research, administrative processes, and customer service
- Utilize supply chain knowledge and contribute to the team in developing innovative solutions
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0
- Previous Supply Chain/Operations experience a plus but also consider Finance, Project Management, Business Administration or Information Systems/Analytics experience or a Supply Chain degree program
- MUST be available to commute into the UCM Chicago office in a hybrid environment – Hyde Park & Harvey Campus
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to grasp/understand technical concepts and applications
