Summary: Tyson Foods is a major player in the food manufacturing industry, and they are seeking a Quality Assurance Lab Specialist (FSQA) to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. The role involves performing inspections, documenting results, and taking corrective actions when necessary. Responsibilities: - Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems - Documenting and calculating results accurately - Taking corrective action when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management - Handling additional assignments as requested Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED - Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience - Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills - Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork - Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce - Good problem identification and problem-solving skills - Math and organizational skills - Ability to read and interpret product specifications - Must function well under stress - Must have flexibility to work where and when needed - Position involves heavy lifting (50 lbs. or more) - Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day - Must work in cold/hot temperatures - Must be able to work in wet environment - Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling - Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently - Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs - Must be able to work overtime and weekends - Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification - Must reside in the United States to be considered - Sponsorship is not available for this position Required Skills: Quality Assurance experience, Food manufacturing experience Important Skills: Math skills, Problem-solving skills Nice-to-Have Skills: work under stress, read specifications, Communication skills, Organizational skills, Flexibility, Leadership skills Benefits: Paid time off, 401(k) plans, Affordable health, life, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits
