Shift: 3rd Shift
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Saturday and Sundays as needed to support operations.
Hours: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM (flex as needed). Must be able and willing to work weekends and overtime.
This position is eligible for overtime pay and is paid weekly.
Summary: The Distribution Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and system support for outbound distribution operations. Ensures accurate shipping documentation, regulatory compliance, and timely coordination of outbound loads while supporting inventory accuracy and cross‑functional communication in a high‑volume, USDA‑regulated food manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, verify, and release outbound shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, customer paperwork).
- Validate product codes, quantities, lot numbers, dates, and destination requirements.
- Execute shipping transactions in SAP and related systems.
- Coordinate shipment releases in compliance with USDA, QA, and food safety requirements.
- Communicate with carriers and internal teams to schedule, track, and confirm outbound loads.
- Monitor and resolve delivery, inventory, or system discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate shipping records to support audits, traceability, and customer inquiries.
- Escalate shipment delays, capacity issues, or service failures as needed.
- Support KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide general administrative support to Distribution operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, shipping administration, or manufacturing support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a USDA-regulated food manufacturing or protein facility.
- Working knowledge of shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, load manifests) preferred.
- Familiarity with Tyson Foods distribution, QA, and compliance processes.
- Understanding of inventory control, lot tracking, and traceability requirements.
- Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.

This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations will then be reviewed for consideration.
