The Director of Full Cook Planning is responsible for driving the financial and strategic goals of the Poultry division. Specific functional areas include inventory management, raw materials utilization, supply chain performance, KPI reporting, and the Poultry S&OP process.
This position supports decision-making for business units regarding inventory levels, rationalization of slaughter, changes in bird size, capital expenditures, and other decisions that can materially impact profitability. The individual must be able to work across divisions, business units, and levels of management to deliver timely solutions under pressure. This person must have the ability to develop detailed global information and distill it into concise analytical executive summaries that inform efficient and effective decision-making.
This role is responsible for leading the full cook planning process across the FSVAP and RVAP business units, with accountability for inventory management, production scheduling, and KPI reporting. The candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to drive planning efficiency, monitor performance metrics, and deliver timely, data-driven solutions that support the full cook business.
Additional responsibilities include business process development to improve short- and long-term planning effectiveness, responding to management requests that support the supply chain planning process, and creating and distributing supply chain reports. This position requires the ability to direct others toward both daily and weekly production goals as well as longer-term strategic goals, drawing on broader enterprise knowledge to meet the evolving needs of the business.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of experience required; industry experience in supply chain, sales, or operations preferred.
Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Tyson business applications, MS Office, and data visualization tools including Power BI, Palantir, SAP, and IBP.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Travel: 6+ domestic trips per year.
