Software Engineer I, Engagement Growth at Twitch in San Francisco, CA

Summary: Twitch is the world’s biggest live streaming service, focused on building community-driven experiences. The Software Engineer I, Engagement Growth will work on the Community Products team to design and develop features that enhance user interaction and engagement on both web and mobile platforms. Responsibilities: - Deliver high quality user experiences on both Web and Mobile surfaces - Work with product managers, designers, technical leads, and other engineers to design, develop, launch, and operate interactive experiences and products - Work backwards from customer problems to drive business impact - Maintain and improve our existing backend services Required Qualifications: - 1+ Years experience developing software in a professional environment - Prior experience building consumer-facing products at scale - Proficient coding skills in modern languages and frameworks such as React, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C etc - Proven ability with thinking though and delivering quality user experiences - Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with languages/frameworks we use at Twitch: React, Typescript, Golang - Experience building software and services using AWS technologies such as ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, and Step Functions - Familiarity with Twitch, gaming, and/or streaming on Twitch Required Skills: React, AWS Important Skills: Golang, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, Consumer-facing products Nice-to-Have Skills: Typescript, Bachelor's degree Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance, 401(k), Maternity & Parental Leave, Flexible PTO, Amazon Employee Discount
