Software Engineer I, Community Growth at Twitch in San Francisco, CA

Summary: Twitch is the world’s biggest live streaming service, focusing on community-driven experiences across various domains. The role is centered around web and mobile frontend development, with responsibilities including delivering high-quality user experiences and collaborating with product managers and designers. Responsibilities: - Deliver high quality user experiences on both Web and Mobile surfaces - Work with product managers, designers, technical leads, and other engineers to design, develop, launch, and operate interactive experiences and products - Work backwards from customer problems to drive business impact - Maintain and improve our existing backend services Required Qualifications: - 1+ Years experience developing software in a professional environment - Prior experience building consumer-facing products at scale - Proficient coding skills in modern languages and frameworks such as React, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C etc - Proven ability with thinking though and delivering quality user experiences - Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with languages/frameworks we use at Twitch: React, Typescript, Golang - Experience building software and services using AWS technologies such as ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, and Step Functions - Familiarity with Twitch, gaming, and/or streaming on Twitch Required Skills: React, Kotlin, Swift Important Skills: Objective-C, Typescript, Golang, AWS Nice-to-Have Skills: User experience design, Software development Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance, 401(k), Maternity & Parental Leave, Flexible PTO, Amazon Employee Discount
