Job Description
Summary: TSMC is the world’s leading semiconductor foundry, and they are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Implant Equipment Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team in Camas, WA. The role involves optimizing the performance and reliability of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment and requires a strong commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Learn to utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and real-time monitoring methods to track and analyze equipment performance
- Collaboratively plan, coordinate, and perform preventative maintenance on advanced tooling alongside our skilled technician team
- Support the development and implementation of engineering projects aimed at improving tool reliability, availability, and cost efficiency
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues to reduce scrap, lower costs, and continuously improve product yield and quality
- Support and maintain the spare parts inventory to ensure minimal tool downtime
- Maintain high self-motivation to investigate equipment abnormalities, initiate corrective actions, and prevent future occurrences
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related engineering discipline
- 0–2 years of experience. This is an entry-level role; prior internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment is highly preferred but not required
- Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) principles
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- A solid foundational background in Electronic, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering principles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to or basic understanding of High Vacuum systems (turbo, cryo pumps) or ion implantation systems (such as AMAT xR/Quantum or VIISion80) is a strong plus
