Director Of Business Development Senior… at TruBlue Home… · Location…

About the Opportunity

We are building and expanding a senior care and healthcare solutions business in the U.S. market, beginning in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Our solutions are designed to help healthcare providers, senior living communities, rehabilitation organizations, home health providers, and other senior care organizations reduce the risk and severity of fall-related injuries.

We are currently in an early-stage U.S. market expansion phase and are looking for a hands-on Director of Business Development who can help identify the strongest market opportunities, build a repeatable go-to-market model, and ultimately scale the business.

This is not a traditional sales management role.

We are looking for a business builder who has experience developing and scaling healthcare, senior care, medical device, healthcare services, or related businesses.

What You Will Do

You will work closely with executive leadership to develop and execute the U.S. growth strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify and prioritize Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) across healthcare and senior care markets
• Conduct customer discovery to understand clinical, operational, financial, and organizational pain points
• Refine Customer Value Propositions (CVPs) based on market feedback
• Develop and test go-to-market strategies across multiple channels
• Build relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation providers, senior living communities, SNFs, home health agencies, physician groups, and other healthcare organizations
• Develop strategic partnerships, referral channels, and healthcare industry relationships
• Create and improve pilot and trial programs that lead to commercial adoption
• Develop pricing, sales processes, qualification criteria, and sales methodologies
• Build and standardize a repeatable sales playbook
• Establish KPIs, pipeline management processes, forecasting, and CRM discipline
• Evaluate sales productivity and unit economics
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop future business development team members
• Validate whether newly hired salespeople can reproduce successful sales results
• Develop territory expansion plans as the business grows beyond DFW
• Provide direct market feedback to leadership to support product and service development

What We Mean by a “Business Development Playbook”

We are particularly interested in candidates who have previously helped organizations move through one or more growth stages such as:

0 → 1: Building the initial business model, defining the MVP, validating the customer value proposition, and generating the first meaningful revenue

1 → 10: Establishing unit economics, developing a repeatable sales model, recruiting new team members, and proving that new employees can reproduce successful results

10 → 100: Scaling a proven business model across territories, teams, and functions while maintaining economic discipline and organizational performance

Strong candidates will understand how to move through a process such as:

Market → ICP → Customer Pain → CVP → MVP → GTM → Unit Economics → Repeatability → Scale

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

• 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, market development, commercial strategy, or related leadership roles
• Experience in healthcare, senior care, medical devices, healthcare services, home health, senior living, rehabilitation, or a related industry
• Direct experience helping grow a business from an early stage into a larger and more structured organization
• Experience building or improving a sales playbook
• Experience identifying ICPs and developing customer value propositions
• Experience establishing new sales channels or entering new markets
• Experience recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and managing sales or business development professionals
• Strong understanding of KPIs, pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM systems
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
• Strong executive communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial and evolving environment

Strongly Preferred Experience

We are especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate measurable growth during their previous roles.

Examples include:

• Growing a business from approximately $1M to $5M, $10M, or beyond
• Expanding a business development or sales team from a few employees to a larger organization
• Building a new territory or market from the ground up
• Creating a repeatable sales process that could be successfully used by newly hired employees
• Establishing healthcare partnerships, referral networks, or strategic channels
• Developing managers or future business leaders

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience obtaining Medicare Advantage coverage or approval for DME (Durable Medical Equipment) products, including direct involvement in the approval, reimbursement, or coverage process. Please be prepared to describe the types of products you have worked with.

• Demonstrated experience negotiating with health plans, payers, and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and successfully securing enterprise-level, network-wide, or comprehensive agreements for healthcare, senior care, or medical products and services.

What Success Looks Like

During the initial stage, success will not be measured only by revenue.

We expect this leader to help answer critical questions such as:

• Which customer segments have the strongest product-market fit?
• Who is our highest-priority ICP?
• What customer problems create the strongest buying motivation?
• Which value propositions generate the best response?
• Which sales channels are most effective?
• What is the most effective pilot-to-purchase process?
• Can the sales process be standardized?
• Can newly hired team members reproduce the same results?
• Can the business generate attractive and scalable unit economics?

The ultimate objective is to transform early market success into a repeatable and scalable U.S. business development model.

Leadership Opportunity

This position is designed for someone who wants to build, not simply manage an existing organization.

As the U.S. business grows, this role may have the opportunity to develop into a broader executive leadership position, including potential progression to a Vice President-level role, based on business growth, organizational needs, and individual performance.

Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to help build a U.S. healthcare and senior care business at an early and important stage of growth.

Rather than inheriting an established sales organization, you will have the opportunity to help define the market strategy, develop the commercial playbook, build the team, and create the foundation for future geographic expansion.

If you have successfully helped build and scale a healthcare or senior care business—and want to do it again—we would like to hear from you.
