Summary: Tria Federal delivers digital services and technology solutions that support the health and safety of veterans, service members, and civilians. They are seeking interns for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) EWME Program to support operational efficiency and data quality through hands-on projects, enhancing consulting skills and gaining exposure to federal healthcare operations. Responsibilities: - Interns will collaborate with Tria consultants, VHA stakeholders, and RO staff to support active projects within the EWME contract. Work will focus on: - Data Analytics & Visualization: Supporting development of tools and dashboards that enhance performance tracking and transparency - Business Process Improvement: Assisting with research and analysis that identify opportunities for improved data accuracy, workflow efficiency, and business reporting - Strategic Research: Conducting comparative research, benchmarking, and analysis of federal healthcare operations to inform recommendations - Education & Communication: Contributing to internal and external communication materials, knowledge-sharing resources, and stakeholder engagement tools - Revenue Cycle Support: Supporting analytical and research efforts related to revenue-cycle operations, including charge capture, billing, reimbursement, and compliance within the Military Health System - Emerging Technology Exploration: Leveraging tools such as Generative AI, Machine Learning (ML), or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline workflows, automate insights, and support documentation - Example Project Areas: - Enhancing performance dashboards and metrics visualization for operational and revenue-cycle reporting - Supporting research and data collection for business-process and revenue-cycle improvement initiatives - Assisting with modernization efforts for RO communication materials/strategy and knowledge-management platforms - Supporting process improvement projects - Assisting with process documentation and training where needed - Exploring automation or AI-driven solutions for data organization and reporting - Developing research summaries and strategic insights to inform VHA RO decision-making Required Qualifications: - Strong analytical and organizational skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities - Detail-oriented, proactive, and curious; demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and professionalism - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual or hybrid team environment - Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Public Health, Health Administration, Computer Science, or a related field - U.S. citizenship required; ability to pass a background check Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with data-visualization platforms such as Power BI - Prior coursework or internship in data analysis, business operations, or healthcare administration Required Skills: Data Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Power BI, Business Process Improvement, Revenue Cycle Operations, Generative AI, Machine Learning, Robotic Process Automation Benefits: Top-tier benefits package, Invest in your physical, mental, and financial health and wellness
