Summary: TRC Companies, Inc. is a global consulting environmental and engineering firm in the energy sector. The Right of Way Agent will work primarily in the field to secure access to private property for placing power lines, ensuring compliance with necessary permits and agreements.
Responsibilities:
- A Right-of-Way Agent is assigned specific areas and uses pre-surveyed plans, working independently, to secure permits and other agreements to place power lines and equipment on and/or through private property
- Identify areas where access issues require modifications to the field-engineering plan and secure additional permits as needed
- Through mailings, calling and visiting individual property owners, secure signed permissions (Right-of-Way) and submit for client approval
- Multiple visits may be required until all approvals and /or documentation are secured
Required Qualifications:
- No previous Right of Way experience required for this position
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel & various Microsoft Office programs
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior real estate, mortgage, education, consulting, or sales experience
- Familiarity with real estate and related legal documents
