About the role
We’re seeking a Social Media Advisor to shape and deliver Transurban’s social media strategy that brings our brands - Transurban and Linkt - to life across digital channels.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead innovative, insight-led social content and campaigns, that strengthen trust, reputation and customer connection. Working across the Corporate Affairs and Customer & Product teams, you’ll play a key role in transforming how we use social media and ensuring our channels deliver meaningful impact for customers and communities.

Day-to-day, you will:
Develop and deliver a social media strategy aligned to key Corporate Affairs and Customer & Product ambitions and communications goals incorporating both the Transurban and Linkt brands.
Create and publish engaging social media content, from concept to execution across multiple formats that – drives meaningful engagement and positive sentiment
Manage and maintain a social content calendar, collaborating across teams to ensure consistency and alignment
Support and execute integrated campaigns, contributing social expertise to reputation, communications and brand initiatives
Monitor performance and leverage data and insights to continuously optimise channels and content
Manage online communities, partnering with the customer social media team and responding to enquiries and supporting real-time engagement and issue management
Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver high-quality social media outcomes
Identify opportunities to improve processes, templates and governance to ensure brand consistency and best practice
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including:
Proven experience developing and delivering social media strategies and content in a corporate or customer-focused environment
Excellent content creation skills across multiple formats, with exceptional written communication
Experience managing multi-brand social media channels and working closely with communications, marketing and customer teams
Detailed understanding of production processes and ability to manage project budgets and timelines accordingly
Experience managing community engagement and social media issues
Ability to utilise data and insights to optimise performance and drive strategic objectives
A strong understanding of audience behaviour, social trends and digital best practice
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Proven ability working with stakeholders at all levels and building strong internal relationships
