Team Overview
We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Senior Vice President of Product Engineering to lead our global Consumer Solutions engineering organization, driving innovation across our TruEmpower suite of direct-to-consumer (D2C) and indirect-to-consumer (I2C) credit and identity solutions. This executive will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of consumer empowerment through cutting-edge digital products that deliver trust, transparency, and financial control to millions worldwide.
As the senior engineering leader for our Global Consumer Solutions vertical, you will lead a high-performing global team to deliver scalable, customer-centric credit and identity products. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in consumer-facing technologies, a passion for solving complex identity and credit challenges, and a proven track record of building high-performing engineering cultures. She/he will partner with stakeholders across Vertical Markets, Global Solutions, Global Data and Analytics, Global Technology, and Global Operations to deliver innovative customer-facing solutions. With deep expertise in digital technologies and a passion for solving complex challenges, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders and product management to shape strategy, define roadmaps, and bring transformative solutions to market.
This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
At Transunion our Consumer Solutions business is a core product and $650M + global business growing to $1B over the next 5 years. This role is responsible for leading our global 200+ member product engineering organization with extensive internal partnership engagement. These solutions are delivered both directly to consumers and through strategic partnerships, representing a critical and growing component of TransUnion’s global strategy.
This role is an instrumental part of the Product engineering organization & will lead the modernization of TransUnion’s product delivery with use of public cloud platforms, DevSecOps operating models, & new enabling technologies. Driver of business value through the benefits of moving applications and platforms to a scalable, modern architecture that leverages public cloud. Enable market & solution areas through proactive dialogue on capability needs & mapping those needs to existing or new architectural patterns & standards.
Strategic Planning & Vision
You’ll be a visionary in understanding the intersection of technological advancements, customer preferences, and business outcomes.
Act as an owner of our business strategy to understand the why and the what and develop an engineering approach to translate that into the how. Leading the Build for extensible frameworks and architectures that tackle a range of future opportunities that help our customers do things quicker, easier, cheaper, and through a self-service enabled approach.
Build value propositions/business cases and communications within global delivery organizations & with senior executives (SVP, EVP, CEO).
Collaborate with Business Executives, Architecture, Delivery and Product teams to define & execute the architectural strategy for our consumer solutions business.
Partner with solution owners, market owners, and product owners to help us balance the need for moving quickly to tackle immediate client opportunities with the objective of creating a stable, scalable platform and technology capabilities.
Act as a strong partner with data platform and analytics organizations.
Ensure operational excellence, compliance and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
Team Leadership & Development
In strong/direct partnership with our Global Solutions business leaders, you will lead a global engineering and architecture team as they deliver high-impact solutions that meet consumer needs and regulatory requirements.
Lead and inspire a high-performing global engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and customer-centricity with continuous improvement at the forefront.
Establish clear goals and expectations for your leadership and principles ensuring accountability and delivering results on time and within budget.
Delegate significant responsibilities and decision-making authority to team members, providing guidance.
Gives team members ownership within their areas of responsibility, setting clear expectations and checking in as needed.
Invites the team to recommend ways to solve problems, discuss challenging issues, or generate new ideas

Required Knowledge and Experiences
Experience & Background
Firm understanding of the global macro-technology trends, the evolution and applicability of these trends as they apply to D2C and I2C products and services.
Deep experience in leading globally distributed teams and influencing globally distributed stakeholders.
Proven success scaling direct-to-consumer digital products globally.
Deep product development expertise and understanding of enterprise technologies, platforms, APIs, and microservices.
Experience managing engineering organizations of 200+ employees, including full-time staff, contractors, and vendor resources.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field preferred with 15+ years minimum equivalent experience in consumer technology, SaaS, fintech or data services. Progressive experience leading large-scale engineering organizations, including division-level or enterprise leadership roles.
Leadership & Strategic Skills
Can confidently communicate strategy across large organizations to influence stakeholders to align behind objectives. Demonstrated ability to align technology strategy with business objectives and communicate effectively with senior executives and boards.
Ability to drive global organizational change, balance business requirements with IT initiatives, provide technical leadership, & manage execution on critical initiatives.
Ability to facilitate development of an architectural vision with a compelling narrative and financial analysis that supports and aligns to the business and technology strategy.
Exceptional communication skills with global & diverse audiences - Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

Pay Scale Information:
The U.S. base salary range for this position is $225,800.00 - $474,300.00 *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
