Assistant Purchase Manager at Transasia Bio Medicals in Mumbai

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchase and procurement activities for electronic, electrical and engineering components.
• Handle procurement of PCB boards, electronic boards, electrical components and other electronic/electrical materials.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors, OEMs, manufacturers and authorized suppliers.
• Float RFQs, obtain quotations and prepare comparative statements for commercial evaluation.
• Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery timelines and other commercial terms with suppliers.
• Create and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order execution and material delivery.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Stores, Quality, R&D and Accounts teams for procurement requirements.
• Monitor material availability, inventory levels, lead times and pending purchase orders.
• Develop alternate vendors and sources to ensure continuity of supply and cost optimization.
• Monitor vendor performance related to quality, price, delivery and service.
• Resolve procurement, quality, delivery and supplier-related issues.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor documentation, quotations, POs and procurement MIS.
• Use SAP/ERP systems for procurement and purchase-related activities.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Independently handle procurement activities and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 58 years of relevant experience in Purchase / Procurement.
• Experience in Electronics, Electrical, Engineering or Manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in purchasing PCB boards, electronic/electrical boards, electronic components, electrical components and engineering materials.
• Candidates with experience in PCB procurement and electronic/electrical component sourcing will be strongly preferred.
• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering preferred.
• Strong experience in vendor development, vendor management, RFQ, quotation comparison and price negotiation.
• Good understanding of Purchase Orders, procurement processes, inventory and material planning.
• Working knowledge of SAP/ERP and MS Excel.
• Experience working with OEMs, manufacturers and authorized suppliers is preferred.
• Experience in IVD, diagnostics, medical equipment or analyzer manufacturing will be an added advantage.
• Should have good communication, negotiation, analytical and coordination skills.
• Should be capable of independently handling procurement activities and taking ownership of purchase requirements.
