Job Description
Responsible for planning and executing the trailer build schedule for each factory based on available capacity and continually work towards improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Plant Manager to maximize capacity, efficiency, and schedule accuracy.
- Adjust Trailer MO operation dates to reflect current status and estimated completions.
- Schedule new tracking numbers into their appropriate line utilizing VPI and INFOR.
- Convert the serial number to full TIN within INFOR.
- Coordinate with Sales to adjust trailers within the schedule per demand.
- Assist Sales on Serial/Tracking number cancellations.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and PPIC on schedule adjustments coinciding with delivery of material and piece parts.
- Work with Engineering on schedule adjustments due to design constraints and changes.
- Communicate critical issues throughout the company.
- Support Production Scheduler II to complete tasks such as:
- Create routings for trailers, assemblies, and piece parts.
- Quote new trailers, options, assemblies, and piece parts.
- Audit and adjust quotes/routings based on efficiency data.
- Facilitate OBS meeting Plant Managers and Supervisors.
Other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum of 2-years related manufacturing experience in production preferred. Experience in MRP/ERP systems preferred with background in continuous improvement, lean, and Six Sigma preferred. Team oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-starter and ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities.
