PSD Overview
Comprised of Purchasing and Supplier Development, PSD builds and maintains strong relationships with hundreds of suppliers to procure direct parts and materials for all North American-built vehicles and for North American indirect needs. Supplier Development engineers partner with suppliers to support quality and timely part manufacturing.
Who We're Looking For
The PSD team offers opportunities across both Purchasing and Engineering functions. Interns will work in a collaborative environment, gaining hands-on experience while contributing real value to the organization and developing a deeper understanding of Toyota's supply chain and supplier network.
Projects may include:
Supplier readiness and development activities
Product development and manufacturing process support
Cost analysis and cost standard development
Supplier relationship management and benchmarking
Direct parts and materials purchasing
Indirect purchasing initiatives
Supply chain and process improvement projects
Purchasing systems and knowledge management
Corporate social responsibility initiatives
Cross-functional collaboration with suppliers, engineering teams, manufacturing plants, and business partners to support successful product launches and mass production readiness
What You Bring
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to work onsite three (3) days per week
Competitive GPA, preferably 3.0 or higher
Must have experience using Microsoft Excel
Must have completed at least one full academic year at a two- or four-year college or university post-high school (sophomore standing or above)
Currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited degree program (this includes both two-year and four-year colleges) studying in a STEM or Business discipline or related field, such as:
