BUYER II About the Role At Toshiba, we don’t just purchase materials—we power innovation. As a Buyer II, you will play a critical role in ensuring our operations run efficiently by sourcing high-quality materials, building strong supplier partnerships, and driving cost and inventory optimization strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional looking to grow into a strategic sourcing role, with exposure to cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations. What You’ll Do • Strategic Purchasing: Source materials, supplies, and services to meet business needs while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance • Supplier Management: Identify, qualify, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; support RFQs, bid evaluations, and negotiations • Cost Optimization: Proactively identify and execute cost savings and value improvement opportunities • Performance Tracking: Monitor supplier KPIs including quality, on-time delivery, and responsiveness; drive continuous improvement • Inventory Optimization: Partner with planning and operations to reduce excess inventory and improve turns • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders (engineering, production, logistics) to ensure alignment on requirements and timelines • Order & Data Management: Maintain accurate purchasing data, pricing, and supplier records within ERP systems • Issue Resolution: Support resolution of supplier, delivery, and invoice discrepancies to ensure smooth operations What You Bring • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain • Technical Skills: • Proficiency in Excel (data analysis, tracking, reporting) • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) Core Competencies: • Strong negotiation and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Analytical mindset with a focus on cost and process improvement • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills What Sets You Apart • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments • Exposure to supplier negotiations or strategic sourcing initiatives • Demonstrated success in cost reduction or inventory optimization projects Why Join Toshiba • Impact: Play a key role in supporting critical operations and supply chain performance • Growth: Clear path to advance into Buyer III, Senior Buyer, or Strategic Sourcing roles • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams on high-visibility initiatives • Innovation: Be part of a company committed to advancing technology and sustainable solutions Additional Information • This role may include additional responsibilities as assigned to support business needs • Toshiba is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace
