Job Description
Summary: Altra Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial institution dedicated to helping individuals achieve financial success. The Financial Services Representative will serve as the primary point of contact for members, combining lending, member service, account management, and financial product recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Open new member accounts and provide account maintenance services
- Process member transactions in a cashless office environment
- Assist members with electronic and digital banking services
- Analyze members' financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services
- Promote loans, savings accounts, credit cards, and other financial solutions
- Educate members on financial tools that support their financial goals
- Provide Notary Public services
- Answer member inquiries and resolve account-related issues
- Ensure compliance with all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Serve as a liaison between members and the credit union while supporting overall branch operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service during every member interaction
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in:
- Banking
- Financial services
- Customer service
- Retail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to learn and explain financial products and services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lending experience
- Sales or cross-selling experience
- Knowledge of credit union products and lending processes
- Familiarity with digital banking services
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Hmong) language skills are strongly preferred
