Job Description
Summary: Torch Dental is a high-growth, venture-backed vertical SaaS company transforming how dental practices run their businesses. The Chief of Staff Intern will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, overseeing high-priority initiatives, conducting market research, and ensuring alignment within the leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct rigorous research on emerging trends in HealthCare Tech and AI to identify "blue sky" opportunities for Torch
- Build financial models and pitch decks for potential new service lines or product features
- Assist in the initial "zero-to-one" phase of new projects, coordinating between engineering, sales, and operations to ensure a smooth launch
- Act as a "proxy" for the CEO in internal meetings, ensuring the CEO’s vision is clearly communicated and understood across the organization
- Handle "hand-off" tasks from the CEO that require high-level business judgment, from drafting board-level communications to evaluating potential partnerships
- Streamline the Office of the CEO by refining internal processes, managing high-priority correspondence, and preparing the CEO for key external engagements
- Drive the execution of "Must-Win" strategic initiatives, ensuring they stay on schedule and involve the right cross-functional stakeholders
- Develop and monitor dashboards to track the health of company-wide goals (OKRs), identifying bottlenecks before they impact performance
- Facilitate leadership meetings by setting agendas, capturing action items, and holding executives accountable for follow-ups
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a top-tier MBA program
- 3–6 years of pre-MBA experience in management consulting, private equity, ventures, capital investment banking, high-growth startups
- Proficiency in financial modeling (Excel/Google Sheets) and the ability to turn complex data into a narrative
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence senior leaders without having direct authority
- A 'no task too small' attitude combined with the ability to think 30,000 feet up
- Proactive, highly organized, and thrive in ambiguity
