Position Overview

The NPD Manager will lead the development of innovative pet food products and the enhancement of existing portfolios. This role requires strong expertise in product formulation, process optimization, ingredient functionality, and cross-functional coordination to deliver market-ready products aligned with consumer insights, regulatory standards, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop prototypes of new products and identify gaps or flaws against defined specifications
  
• Design, optimize, and document manufacturing processes, including data compilation and validation
  
• Research and evaluate raw materials and ingredients required for new product development
  
• Conduct laboratory and pilot trials to identify optimal production methods
  
• Develop and document new or revised product formulations and processing technologies based on market demand
  
• Conduct or support shelf-life studies and sensory evaluations to define product stability and quality
  
• Perform competitive analysis to identify innovation opportunities and apply learnings during execution
  
• Present new product concepts and line extensions to management
  
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for trials, product panels, and scale-up activities
  
• Prepare detailed cost analysis for new and existing product development
  
• Collaborate with marketing and internal stakeholders to support product launches and communication
  
• Ensure project milestones are met as per defined timelines
  
• Adapt development plans when concepts or formulations require course correction
  
• Identify, source, and evaluate new ingredients and emerging technologies for current and future applications
  
• Optimize ingredient functionality and formulations while adhering to budget and cost constraints
  

Candidate Profile

• Experience in FMCG or Life Sciences industry (mandatory)
  
• Strong background in food or pet food formulation and product development
