- Track record of developing, implementing, and auditing safety programs and policies.
- Experience in training program development and delivery.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving and report‑writing skills.
- Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
We value diversity at Tolko and know that experience and knowledge come in many forms. Even if you don’t have all the qualifications above, please apply. We would love to hear your story and have you grow with us.
In this role, you will:
- Act as a strategic partner to operations and leaders on all occupational health and safety matters.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Safety and Asset Protection Advisors (Canada) and Safety Managers (U.S.).
- Lead regulatory compliance initiatives across all Tolko operating jurisdictions.
- Drive implementation and continuous improvement of Tolko’s safety standards, with a strong focus on leadership behaviours and safety culture.
- Partner with Woodlands Managers to develop and sustain effective contractor safety programs.
- Coach and influence leaders at all levels to strengthen safety accountability and consistency.
- Lead development and delivery of occupational health and safety and safety leadership training.
- Oversee our Claims Management Program to support injured employees and minimize disruptions.
- Develop and execute internal and external audit programs to measure compliance and program effectiveness.
- Report on safety performance, inspections, regulatory changes, and emerging issues to leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders.
So, what’s in it for you?
- You’ll take on an exciting new challenge with supportive team members.
- You’ll earn a competitive salary based on your skills and experience. The expected base salary range for this position is $117,000 to $156,000 per year.
- You’ll be eligible for excellent benefits, so you don’t have to choose between your bottom line and your wellbeing or your future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Tolko’s bonus program.
- You may also be eligible for relocation support including community connections so you can live (and play) where you work.
- You’ll be supported in continued development through on-the-job and classroom training and reimbursement of tuition and membership fees.
