Strategic Finance Intern at Toast in Boston

Summary: Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world. The Strategic Finance Intern will support high-impact analyses and decision-making, working closely with the Strategic Finance team and Toast Operational teams. Responsibilities: - Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes - Look for opportunities to leverage AI to improve processes and change the way work is being done - Build and maintain financial models to evaluate growth initiatives and investment decisions - Analyze KPIs and operating metrics and partner with cross-functional teams to assess new products, pricing changes, and operational initiatives - Conduct ad-hoc analyses to inform leadership decisions Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field - Comfort working with Excel/Google Sheets, financial models, and large data sets - Deep exposure to, and comfort using, AI tools - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to communicate insights clearly to both finance and non-finance partners - High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities - Interest in SaaS, fintech, and data-driven decision-making Preferred Qualifications: - Prior internship in finance, analytics, consulting, or strategy - Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools - Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR, LTV/CAC, churn, cohorts) Required Skills: Financial modeling, Forecasting, Data analysis Important Skills: Excel/Google Sheets, AI tools, SQL Nice-to-Have Skills: analytical skills, Interest in SaaS, Problem-solving skills, Communication skills, Attention to detail
