The Senior Process Analyst (FinOps) is responsible for the FinOps processes including chargeback, payment, reporting and data analytics with direction from the IT & FinOps Lead. This includes acting as primary liaison for support, providing subject matter expertise and championing continuous improvement of Delivery processes and tools.
This role is hybrid (2 - 3 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON
Key Accountabilities:
Cost Visibility & Reporting: Maintain and enhance cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer) and reports (to provide granular visibility into spend.
Optimization & Savings: Identify opportunities for cost savings (e.g. through Savings Plans, eliminating unused licenses)
Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop accurate monthly and quarterly spend forecasts. Perform variance analysis to explain "the why" behind spend spikes.
Governance & Policy: Develop and enforce policies (e.g. tagging format, notes, no credit card purchases, approvals) to ensure proper cost allocation across departments and projects.
Stakeholder Education: Train stakeholders on policies and tools to foster a culture of cost-awareness.
Process Improvements & AI: Leverage AI and automation to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
GTS Office Support: As needed, perform GTS Office support tasks like project reporting to help with the workload of the team.
Must Have(s):
University/undergraduate degree in related discipline or equivalent Analyst experience within the financial services industry
Minimum 5 years’ experience within an Information Technology environment
Minimum 2 years experience with cloud financial tools including AWS Cost Explorer
Experience using a scripting language including Google Appscripts
Experience developing reports and using data visualization tools including LookerStudio
Demonstrated ability to balance competing or conflicting goals
Strong influencing, facilitation and negotiation skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills to rapidly assess situations and develop alternate solutions approaches necessary to resolve high-level, complex problems
Ability to work independently on assignments, with tight deadlines under minimal supervision
Highly analytical
Strong organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Nice to Have:
FinOps Certified Practitioner
Experience with Azure or GCP
Experience with Workday
Salary Range: 80,000/year - 90,000/year CAD
