Summary: Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is dedicated to creating meaningful economic opportunities for the Tlingit & Haida Tribes of Alaska. They are seeking an HVAC Controls Technician responsible for servicing and repairing HVAC control systems with EMCS, troubleshooting controls systems, and performing duties in support of departmental requirements. Responsibilities: - Position entails mandatory standby, rotation basis - Report to HVAC Supervisor - Service and repair HVAC control systems monitored by EMCS - Troubleshoot controls systems, testing sensors, actuators, and signal, VFD’s, replacing components, as necessary - May participate in Electronic Certification programs - Work from verbal or written instructions - Additional duties in direct support of departmental requirements - Consistently produces quality products and service - Completes all training within required timeline - Perform all work in a safe and secure manner - Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Position requires training and experience obtained through certification or on the job training - Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License - Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check - Must possess the ability to work in a high-volume office area and interface in a positive manner with co-workers and the customer - Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice - Performs all assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives - Displays courtesy and skill in dealing with internal and external customers, coworkers, and management - Accurately maintains and updates records to enable quick and efficient retrieval of information - Ability to work independently - Ability to speak, read, and write English - Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice - Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities - Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented - Strong customer service and interpersonal skills - Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite - Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices - Physically fit to bend, stoop and lift in awkward positions and be able to lift 75 lbs. and manage heights - Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays - Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle - Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle - Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check Preferred Qualifications: - Formal training in computer systems and electronics is desirable, but not mandatory - Experience with HVAC equipment controls a plus - Familiar with and have the expertise to perform troubleshooting with low voltage circuits - Basic computer skills/comfortable with using a computer Required Skills: HVAC Controls Systems, EMCS, Troubleshooting Low Voltage Circuits, Testing Sensors and Actuators, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Electronic Certification, Worksite Safety Practices Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, TRICARE Supplemental, Critical Illness insurance, Company-Paid Life and Short-Term Disability insurance, Optional Long-Term Disability, Paid Leave, 401(k) Retirement Plan, Identity Theft Protection, Employee Discounts, Wellness Seminars
