People Operations Generalist
Department: People Operations
Reports To: VP of People Operations
Location: Remote (United States)

About TJM Labs
TJM Labs builds Pharmacy AI: the AI agents hundreds of pharmacies rely on to handle the repetitive work that keeps pharmacists away from patients. Our platform handles prescription intake, data entry, refill management and patient calls. It works on top of the systems pharmacies already run, across 26+ pharmacy management systems and the portals and tools around them, so teams can take on more volume with the same staff. Today TJM Labs supports more than 550 pharmacies across the U.S. and Canada and automates over a million pharmacy tasks a day.
TJM Labs is built by pharmacists. Through our Dual-Expert Model™, pharmacists and engineers work side by side to design automation around the real workflows, systems and challenges pharmacies face every day.
We are a remote-first, high-growth organization united by a shared mission to help pharmacies scale without proportionally scaling their workforce. Our culture emphasizes direct impact, autonomy with responsibility, collaboration, practical problem-solving, continuous learning, and a commitment to healthcare. Team members have the opportunity to see their work make a meaningful difference in real pharmacies while contributing to technology that helps healthcare professionals focus on what matters most: their patients.
Requirements
About the Role
As our People Operations Generalist, you'll be the first stop partner for our employees on everything from workplace questions to leaves of absence. You'll own day-to-day functions, keep us compliant as our remote team grows across many U.S. states, and build the processes that help a fast-growing company run smoothly. You'll work closely with our VP of People Operations, Talent Acquisition and teams across the company.
This role is a great fit for someone who loves bringing order to fast-moving environments, treats every employee conversation with care, and wants to help shape how a mission-driven healthcare company scales its people operation function.
Key Responsibilities
- Run core people operations. Own employee lifecycle work such as onboarding, offboarding, employee changes and records, keeping our HR systems accurate and audit-ready.
- Employee relations. Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers. Coach managers through performance, conduct and team concerns, and run fair, well-documented workplace investigations.
- Help build our total rewards approach. Partner with the VP of People Operations to shape how we pay and reward our team, from compensation benchmarking and salary bands to benefits strategy and clear, consistent processes for offers, raises and annual reviews.
- Own leave of absence administration. Manage leaves from first request to return to work, including FMLA, state family and medical leave programs, disability and accommodation requests. Keep employees informed and supported throughout.
- Compliance. Partner with VP of People Operations to track and build policy around global federal and state employment law changes that affect our remote workforce. Responsible for maintaining required postings and notices, and support audits, policy updates and annual compliance work.
- Partner on people programs. Support projects such as HR system rollouts, benefits enrollment, performance cycles and employee engagement initiatives.
- Turn data into insight. Maintain clean employee data and pull reports that help leaders make informed decisions.

- You've built or improved HR processes and documented them so others can follow them
- Strong organization skills: you keep many moving pieces on track with accuracy and close attention to detail.
- You communicate clearly, in writing and in person, with employees at every level.
