Job Description
Summary: TIMAB MAGNESIUM USA, INC. is part of Groupe Roullier, a global leader in magnesium-based mineral solutions. They are seeking a Business Development Intern to support efforts in expanding their presence in the USA and Canada markets, focusing on mineral additives for construction materials and working closely with the Regional Technical Sales Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential customers in the Oil & Gas, dry mix, and concrete formulation industries across the USA and Canada
- Qualify new leads and prospects by assessing their needs and aligning our products and services with their requirements
- Assist in developing and nurturing a growing portfolio of clients by reaching out to prospects, introducing our products, and helping them understand how mineral additives from Terresis can improve their operations
- Support the qualification process of potential customers in the Oil & Gas, Dry Mix, and Construction sectors
- Assist in tracking the progress of product approval processes with potential customers
- Communicate regularly with clients and internal teams to ensure product specifications and approvals are met
- Attend industry events, conferences, and customer meetings (both virtual and in-person) as appropriate to represent Terresis and strengthen customer relationships
- Gather industry insights and market trends to further refine business development strategies
- Work closely with the Regional Technical Sales Manager to help identify new market opportunities and tailor approaches to specific customer needs
- Assist in the creation of presentations, proposals, and other materials to support the sales process
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Material Sciences, Chemistry, Marketing, Business, or related field
- Strong interest in business development (sales) and the construction materials industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform market research and identify key prospects
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to make phone call outreach
