Junior RPA Engineer

The RPA UiPath Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting intelligent automation solutions using the UiPath platform. The role focuses on automating high‑volume, rules‑based business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, HR, and IT, improving efficiency, accuracy, and operational resilience. The engineer works closely with business stakeholders, process analysts, IT, and governance teams to deliver scalable, secure, and well‑governed automation solutions aligned to enterprise standards.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
RPA Solution Design & Development
Design, develop, and maintain robust UiPath automations using UiPath Studio (Attended and Unattended robots).
Translate business process requirements and PDDs into scalable, reusable automation solutions.
Apply best‑practice RPA design principles including exception handling, logging, reusability, and performance optimization.
Build automation components, libraries, and frameworks to support standardisation across the automation estate.
Process Automation & Integration
Automate processes across ERP (e.g. Oracle / SAP), web applications, legacy systems, Excel, email, and file‑based workflows.
Implement integrations using APIs, queues, orchestrator assets, and secure credential management.
Leverage UiPath capabilities such as OCR, document understanding, and attended automation where appropriate.
DevOps, Testing & Deployment
Follow DevOps‑aligned development practices including version control, code reviews, and controlled releases.
Perform unit testing, system testing, and support UAT with business users.
Deploy automations through UiPath Orchestrator across non‑prod and production environments.
Support CI/CD pipelines and environment promotion processes where applicable.
RPA Platform Operations & Support
Monitor robot performance, schedules, queues, and job execution in UiPath Orchestrator.
Proactively identify and resolve automation failures, performance issues, and data exceptions.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurring incidents.
Support production automations to ensure high availability and business continuity.
Governance, Security & Documentation
Ensure automations comply with enterprise security, audit, and governance standards.
Maintain clear technical documentation including solution designs, exception handling, and operational runbooks.
Contribute to RPA standards, development guidelines, and control frameworks.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and optimise processes.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery ceremonies.
Support knowledge sharing and mentoring within the RPA and automation community.
Continuously evaluate new UiPath features and automation opportunities to increase value delivered.

Experience & Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
RPA certification (e.g., UiPath Certified RPA Associate, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism Foundation) – advantageous
Basic understanding of programming/scripting (e.g., Python, C#, VB.NET)
Familiarity with process mapping or business analysis concepts – advantageous
Exposure to databases (SQL) and system integrations – beneficial
1–3 years’ experience in IT, software development, or automation support roles
