DESCRIPTION
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Inside Sales Representative for Genetic Sciences and contribute to a business-critical hybrid role that combines Inside Sales, Sales Operations, and Tender Specialist responsibilities.
In this role, you will support revenue growth, pipeline expansion, forecasting accuracy, and operational excellence across academic, biotech, pharma, clinical, and industrial markets. Working collaboratively with field sales teams and cross-functional partners, you'll help drive commercial success through consultative selling, tender execution, CRM optimization, and digital sales engagement.
You will leverage both customer-facing sales capabilities and analytical business operations skills to strengthen pipeline visibility, improve forecasting accuracy, and support strategic growth initiatives. What you will do:
Drive revenue growth through e-commerce platforms, digital sales channels, and proactive customer engagement activities
Manage long-tail accounts across academic, biotech, pharma, clinical, and industrial customer segments
Utilize consultative selling approaches to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate Genetic Sciences solutions
Support sales operations activities including forecasting, pipeline management, business analytics, and reporting
Lead tender preparation, quotation management, and public procurement activities to ensure successful bid execution
Collaborate with field sales teams and cross-functional partners to align commercial strategies and customer support
Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and pipeline visibility within SFDC and CRM systems
Analyze sales data and business trends to support operational decision-making and forecast accuracy
Coordinate end-to-end tender submission processes while ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
Develop and maintain strong product and technical knowledge across the Genetic Sciences portfolio
Support lead generation and pipeline expansion through digital engagement and customer relationship management
Ensure operational excellence by managing multiple priorities with strong organizational discipline and attention to detail
Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance sales efficiency and business performance
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or related scientific field
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales goals and business targets
Experience with tender management, quotation processes, or public procurement activities preferred
Sales Operations, business analytics, or sales support experience preferred
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and proposal writing
Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite
Experience with e-commerce platforms and digital sales channels
Ability to develop and maintain deep product and technical knowledge in Genetic Sciences
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and execution accuracy
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a matrix organization
Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical capabilities
Experience with forecasting, pipeline management, and business reporting preferred
English language proficiency preferred
Ability to travel 10–25% for customer meetings and internal business activities
