Summary: Thermo Fisher Scientific is a company that plays a crucial role in supporting manufacturing operations and engineering projects. The Engineer I, Process Engineering, will work closely with cross-functional teams to support process performance and implement improvements. Responsibilities: - Support day-to- day manufacturing operations by assisting in troubleshooting process issues and identifying root causes - Monitor process performance and analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities - Assist with the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and product quality - Collect and analyze process data to support engineering evaluations, improvement initiatives, and operational decision- making - Support execution of engineering projects, including process improvements, equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and capital projects - Assist in equipment evaluation, testing, installation, and startup activities - Participate in process trials, validation activities, and engineering studies - Support development and updates of technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and engineering reports - Ensure engineering documentation aligns with internal quality and regulatory standards - Work cross- functionally with operations, quality, maintenance, EHS, supply chain, and engineering teams to support operational and project objectives - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving process efficiency, reducing downtime, and supporting cost optimization Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline - 0-2 years of experience in a complex chemical, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environment.
