JOB SUMMARY:
The lead is responsible for all forklift operators in shipping. The Lead is accountable of all drivers following standard operating procedures or SW processes. The Lead is accountable for the safety and efficiency of the equipment the operators use. He is also required to perform driver duties. The lead is expected to provide direction and compliance around activities that support our BRC initiative.
Compensation- $22.00-$27.00/hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
Job Description
- Manage & oversee movements made by all forklift operators
- Communicate expectations to forklift drivers.
- Plan & implement tasks and ensure standard processes are being followed
- Daily problem solving
- Able to analyze situations and make decisions
- Ensure all drivers follow safety operating procedures and guidelines
- Conduct daily safety tailgates with operators
- Ensures all direct reports are filling our documentation that supports internal programs / processes
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Shipping dock management
- International loading capacities
- Daily inventory accuracy
Qualifications
- Computer Literate
- Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred
- Strong Leadership skills
- Shipping knowledge
- Completion of Forklift training program
- Material Handling knowledge

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
GED or high school diploma, one to three years previous experience in Shipping/Receiving or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
