Job Description
Summary: The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Programming Intern for WABC-TV, the flagship Disney/ABC-owned television station in New York. This part-time internship will provide hands-on experience in production, including assisting with field shoots, transcribing interviews, and learning about FCC regulations and music licensing.
Responsibilities:
- You will work directly with our Executive Producer and Senior Producer
- You will be immersed in all aspects of production: assisting on field shoots, transcribing, and logging taped interviews, researching/fact-checking, and capturing post-production elements such as graphics and music
- You will also get the opportunity to work with our Promotions, News, and Art Departments
- You will learn the process of how we get our programs on the air
- You will also learn about FCC regulations, music rights, and licensing
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with video production
- An interest in being a part of a fast-paced agile organization
- Attention to detail, and demonstrated strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to partner effectively and work in a team environment
- Active interest in TV/entertainment supported by relevant experience, coursework, or industry awareness
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Fully available from June 2026 through January 2027
- Available to work 24 hours during a Monday through Friday work week for the duration of the internship. Intern must have availability on Wednesdays throughout the internship (9:30 am - 5:30 pm)
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work in the New York, New York area

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro
