Disneyland Quality Engineering Intern, Spring… at The Walt… · Anaheim

Summary: The Walt Disney Company operates the Disneyland Resort and its Worldwide Safety Assurance team ensures attractions comply with applicable standards and regulations. The Quality Engineering Intern will assist with safety-related engineering projects, conduct field research, review documentation, lead project meetings, and support the development of compliance processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Assist WSA Quality Engineers on special projects related to predicted safety in registered and non-registered attractions and entertainment offerings
- Lead meetings on sub-topics in support of project goals
- Perform field work in attractions for project research
- Review and assess alignment of key documentation used by Maintenance, Engineering, QA, and Operations
- Assist in the development of compliance-related processes and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, leadership skills, displays outgoing and sociable characteristics

Required Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision
- Professional demeanor, focused, articulate and well organized
- Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering majors
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding)
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship​
- Be at least 18 years of age​
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
- Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines (for DX)
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Fully available Monday thru Friday, PST for the duration of the internship,40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Anaheim, CA area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior related work experience is desired, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on Analytics, Safety, and/or Safety Auditing
- Prior related or experience working with Data Science
- Demonstrated/proven strong leadership, technical and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with demonstrated proven initiative - able to balance multiple tasks and priorities
- Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
