Job Description
Summary: The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Data Analytics Intern for their ABC Owned TV Stations. This role involves supporting the Analytics and Insights team by conducting data analysis to inform content strategy and optimize operations across local news stations.
Responsibilities:
- Support ad-hoc data retrieval and preparing recurring reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) that are distributed across the group, and this includes Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Reports and campaign performance reports
- Collect, validate, and maintain historical datasets from various third-party sources
- Maintain technical documentation
- Solidify validity of insights and explain those findings in a concise manner
- Monitor industry trends and interpret the potential implications for the business
- Implement and develop dashboards and reporting
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to parse, analyze and interpret data in spreadsheet form
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
- High attention to detail and experience in multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Experience developing data analysis/financial models or experience using a data visualization tool such as Tableau or Power BI
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, CA area
- Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work in the Glendale, CA area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in digital media, social media platforms and/or experience on the content-publishing side is preferred
- Experience analyzing large datasets in Snowflake
- Experience with Airtable or Trello for project tracking
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Major or previous coursework in Marketing, Product Management, Data Analysis, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or related major preferred
