Job Description
Summary: The Walt Disney Company is seeking an intern for their ABC News Talent Strategy & Development team. This role involves supporting various development programs, enhancing the organization's online presence, and providing research and logistical assistance for talent initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with supporting various development programs, such as fellowships, mentorship initiatives, and virtual events/conference planning. Your role may include coordinating logistics, assisting with scheduling, and ensuring the smooth execution of these programs
- Assist in leading social media accounts, crafting content, and encouraging engagement improves the organization's online presence
- Provide research around talent & coordinate profiles and bios
- Data entry for new system for talent tracking/feedback
- Help with searches for freelance producers/talent for long form unit and news division
- Access to talent staff meetings to provide you with insights into the decision-making processes regarding talent engagement, reel screening, and other key aspects
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-tasking in a constantly evolving work environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience working in collaborative environments, and researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Fully available to work 40 hours per week (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor and could include nights and/or weekends)
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ABC News shows and talent
- Experience related to social media including Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and YouTube
- Familiarity with and/or interest in news stories and talent development
- Experience with using Airtable
- Junior or Senior year preferred
