Summary: The Walt Disney Company is looking for a Production Intern for ABC News Live, a 24/7 streaming video news channel. The intern will assist producers and staff with various production tasks, including logging news, assisting with graphics, and video editing. Responsibilities: - Logging and transcribing during breaking news - Assisting with graphics - Researching and pitching stories - Video editing - Shadowing in control room - Shadowing/assisting during filming - Assisting with social media - Running scripts - Running teleprompter - Assisting on segments - Fact checking Required Qualifications: - Experience using Microsoft Office - Experience with multi-tasking in a constantly evolving work environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects - Experience working in collaborative environments, and researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings - Familiar with and/or interest in journalism or news writing - Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship - Be at least 18 years of age - Possess unrestricted work authorization - Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship - Fully available to work 40 hours per week with the schedule of Monday-Friday, 5:30am ET – 1:30pm ET - Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area - Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience (academic or internship) in journalism (print and/or broadcast); television production, news and news media production; and/or television news script writing - Experience video editing using AVID or similar editing software - Major or previous coursework in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Film/Television or a related field - Junior or Senior year preferred Required Skills: Microsoft Office, Video Editing, AVID Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Fall Benefits: Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
