Job Description
At Sister Bay Furniture, we design durable, eco-friendly, high-quality outdoor furniture that transforms campus quads, student unions, outdoor dining areas, study courtyards, and athletic facilities into vibrant gathering hubs.
We are looking for a high-energy Business Development Manager who is passionate about building relationships across the education sector. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to K-12 school districts, colleges, and university facilities directors, helping them create sustainable, functional, and beautiful outdoor learning and living environments.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively identify and engage prospective education clients, university planning committees, and architecture partners to grow market share.
- Consult with key stakeholders across campuses—via phone, Zoom, email, site visits, and conference expos—to recommend custom outdoor space solutions.
- Execute a proactive outreach strategy with a target of 125 engagement opportunities per week using top-tier sales tools (CRM, Orum, ZoomInfo, Nextiva).
- Travel up to 30% to present solutions at major educational trade shows, campus walk-throughs, and partner meetings.
- Work closely with marketing and internal teams to deliver tailored proposals, track lead responses, and mentor junior sales talent.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of success in business development, B2B sales, or territory management (experience selling into the education or institutional market is a plus!).
- Proven track record of consultative selling, networking, and delivering impactful presentations.
- Tech-savvy mindset with experience using CRMs (like Salesforce), outbound sales tools, and data analytics.
- Excellent listening skills and a genuine solution-oriented approach.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
Why Join Sister Bay Furniture?
- Help design outdoor environments that enrich campus life and student experiences.
- Join a collaborative, supportive culture under The Prestwick Companies that values continuous improvement and leadership.
- Sell premium, stylish, durable products built to withstand high-volume institutional use.
