About Us?
The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.
The Quality and Innovation Unit provides leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of services, programs and models of care for improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Well-being. The Unit oversees key functions of healthcare quality and safety, planning, public health, data and health information management, innovation in service design and development, digital innovation, and evaluation and research.
About the Role?
The Project Support Officer provides administrative, operational, and outreach support to public health projects delivered across the IUIH Network. The role works closely with project leads, health, clinical staff, and internal IUIH teams to support project delivery, communication, and community‑based activities. Opportunity to develop skills and experience in public health real life context.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Support project documentation, including preparation of documents, data entry, maintaining records, registers, and trackers.
- Assist with monitoring actions, deadlines, and project progress under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Support communication with internal IUIH teams collaborating on project delivery
- Assist with planning and coordination of training and outreach activities, including logistics, resources, and preparation of materials.
- Provide practical support during clinical outreach activities under appropriate supervision, working closely with the Clinical Nurse.
- Assist with MMEX‑related support tasks connected to outreach and service delivery, as required.
About You?
- Current Criminal History Check
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
- Current Working with Children’s Check (Qld Blue Card)
- Experience in high administration or project support well regarded
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word and Excel
Desirable, but not mandatory:
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities
