Job Description
Summary: The Health Management Academy (THMA) brings together health system leaders and innovators to collectively address the industry’s biggest challenges and opportunities. The Summer Internship Program offers a meaningful and engaging experience designed to foster professional growth and industry exposure, allowing interns to participate in hands-on projects and engage with THMA’s leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and map the promotional cycle of LD participants to understand career progression over time
- Analyze historical participant data to quantify growth trends
- Develop a scalable tracking mechanism (dashboard, database or reporting tool)
- Collect and catalog participant success stories
- Develop a framework to categorize and store value narratives (prometon, skill growth, expanded scope, etc)
- Identify themes and patterns that reinforce program effectiveness
- Support tracking and outreach of contracted seats leading up to the nomination deadline (June, July, August-September deadline)
- Maintain organized records and help refine the nomination process for efficiency
- Attend the June 10th Physician Leadership Program. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of the program while observing how THMA initiatives are shaping the future of physician leadership. Participation in the event will include assisting with onsite logistics and execution of the event. Opportunity to engage with physician leaders and THMA faculty
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, preferably in healthcare administration, business, communications, or a related field
- Strong interest in leadership development, healthcare, and organizational strategy
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to analyze data and present meaningful insights
- Strong communication and writing skills for outreach and content development
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint is a plus
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Intern candidates are current students pursuing their undergraduate degree, preferably entering their Junior/Senior year
- Experience working on multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment is essential
- An interest in healthcare is a plus
- Ability to come into the office 2 days a week (Arlington, VA)
- Ability to work 25-29 hours per week for 10 weeks starting Tuesday, June 8th, 2026
